Ashiatsu Oriental Bar Therapy® _ A barefoot massage technique using deep compression to create structural change in chronic soft tissue damage. Correct application will provide deep relaxation and stimulate the lymphatic system of the body. To see a demonstration of this highly effective modality go to http://www.Deepfeet.com/press.htm
Craniosacral Therapy – “Cranio” refers to the cranium (the bony part of the head), while “Sacral” refers to the bottom of the spine called the sacrum. Craniosacral Therapy enhances the function of the central nervous system through gentle correction of the soft connective tissue of the skull and the musculoskeletal system. This type of work is extremely gentle, but has proved beneficial for chronic pain and soft tissue restriction, and is an excellent choice for those who suffer from migraine and/or tension headache.
Deep Tissue Massage - Deep tissue is an all-encompassing term for work that is applied deeply into the muscles and connective tissue to release chronic aches, pains and “knots”.
Healing Hot & Cold Stone Massage - Special stones, usually made of Basalt, are used for a facial or a full body massage, and are also used in advanced healing layouts along the body meridians to help balance the body.
Lomi-Lomi – Lomi-Lomi is the ancient Hawaiian healing practice of body manipulation and massage. Lomi-Lomi is fast-paced for the therapist, but incredibly relaxing for the guest. This type of massage works and relieves tension in every major muscle group of the body, and requires 90-minutes to complete.
Lymphatic Massage - Lymphatic Massage is a gentle method of promoting movement of lymph into and through the lymphatic nodes and vessels. In doing so, it assists the body in processing and removing toxins and excess fluids (edema). 1
Muscle Release Technique - The muscle Release Technique (sm) is a unique injury therapy that combines compression, extension, movement and breath to give the therapist a tool to provide, in many cases, relief from pain in one treatment. With the Muscle Release Technique (sm) scar tissue is broken up, the muscle is lengthened, muscle memory is restored and relief from pain starts immediately.
Myofascial Release – “Myo” means muscle and fascia is the elastic connective tissue wrapped around muscles and other parts of the body. During myofascial release, restrictions (stuck areas) are located and gentle gliding pressure is applied in the direction of the restriction, in order to stretch the tissues. (Think “taffy pull”). This gentle stretching of tissues is thought to help produce a softer consistency of facial tissue.
Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT) – This type of soft-tissue manipulation balances the body’s central nervous system with the musculoskeletal system. Based on neurological laws that explain how the central nervous system initiates and maintains pain, the goal is to help relieve the pain and dysfunction by understanding and alleviating the underlying cause. It is used to locate and release spasms and hypercontraction in the tissue, eliminate trigger points that cause referred pain, rebuild the strength of injured tissues, assist venous and lymphatic flow, and restore postural alignment, proper biomechanics, and flexibility to the tissues.
Reflexology – The Egyptians in about 2,330 B.C. were some of the first people to practice the art of reflexology. Reflexology is a science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the foot, hands, ears and throughout the body that correspond to all of the organs, glands and other parts of the body. Reflexology can relieve stress and tension, as well as improving circulation.
Seated Chair Massage - Chair massage refers to massage given with the guest seated in a special massage chair. Recipients remain fully clothed during a chair massage session, which normally lasts from 10 to 15 minutes. This type of massage focuses mostly on the head, neck and back, but can also include the arms, hands, thighs and the lower leg.

Swedish Massage - Swedish massage is a Scientific system of manipulation of the muscles and connective tissues of the body, which encourages relaxation, rehabilitation or health maintenance. Swedish Massage is probably the most commonly used “modality” within the United States. |

Trigger Point Therapy - Trigger point massage uses compression of individual areas of ultra-sensitivity in muscles and tendons. These trigger points are unique, and are defined by their ability to refer pain to distant locations. Case in point: a trigger point on one’s back can cause pain in the arm or head. It is thought that this referred pain can only be eliminated through the compression of the actual trigger point, itself.
Medical Massage Therapy - Requires a referral or prescription from your doctor. The Therapist needs a higher level of skill and training to achieve the desired results. Medical Massage targets specific injuries with an approach that is designed specifically to meet the goal of healing your specific Injury. Medical Massage is applied in 15-minute increments.
